Single-Molecule Counting PCR Across BCR::ABL1, KMT2A, and Beyond
September 24, 2026 | 9:00 am PT
Dr. Pamela Ward | University of Southern California, Associate Professor Clinical Pathology
Dongbin Xu | HematoLogics, Inc., Vice President, Laboratory Director
Anjali Pradhan | Countable Labs, Chief Business Officer
In leukemia, molecular labs are forced to choose: broad coverage of the many possible fusions and mutations, or the deep sensitivity needed for MRD, rarely both, and rarely from the small samples that pediatric and relapse cases leave behind. Countable Labs is launching a menu of single-molecule counting assays that removes that trade-off. Absolute single-molecule counting quantifies BCR::ABL1, NPM1mut, KMT2A-r, and KIT D816V in multiplexed fashion, with results reported without standard curves.
In this webinar, Pamela Ward (University of Southern California) shares clinical-sample experience with the BCR::ABL1 assay, tighter precision than conventional RT-PCR, independent quantification of double transcript patients, and longitudinal p230 monitoring.
Dongbin Xu (HematoLogics, Inc.) shares details on other assays, such as a highly-multiplexed KMT2A-r assay that covers 90-95% of potential fusion partners. Attendees will see how single-molecule counting delivers more targets and deeper sensitivity, while simplifying the molecular leukemia workflow. (For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.)
